Arrive In Luxor
Meet and transfer from Luxor airport to your cruise vessel, dinner and overnight stay in Luxor.DAY 1
Enjoy your first Egyptian sunrise, followed by a visit to the West Bank to the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Afternoon sailing and overnight night stay at Esna.DAY 2
Morning departure to Edfu where you will visit the extraordinary Temple of Horus, the mythical son of Isis and Osiris. Here, according to myth, Horus avenged the murder of his father Osiris by defeating his uncle, Seth in combat. Sail on to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris and then onto Aswan for the night.DAY 3
Visit the High Dam – finished in 1971 which has ensured up to three harvests a year in the Nile Valley, the Unfinished Obelisk – still rooted to the bedrock of pink granite and the Temple of Isis on Philae Island. After lunch Relax and enjoy a trip in a traditional felluca around Elephantine Island sailing to the Botanical Gardens on General Kitchener Island given as a gift in 1890. Here, visitors enjoy the beautiful plants imported from Africa, India and the Far East. Optional tour to the Nubian village available in the afternoon or relax on the sun deck. Evening entertainment provided by the Nubian folk show and overnight in Aswan.DAY 4
Morning optional excursion to the ancient wonder of Abu Simbel by air available, priced at £210.00 pp or by road at £85.00pp. After lunch sail to Esna and overnight. Party night on board while moored in Esna.DAY 5
Temple of Khnum
Visit the partly excavated Temple of Khnum at Esna. Dedicated to the ram-headed god Khnum, who was the patron god of the cataracts , who is said to have fashioned mankind from Nile clay on his potter’s wheel. Sail back to Luxor and overnight.DAY 6
Temple of Amun, Karnak
Tour the East Bank with a visit to Luxor Temple, originally joined to Karnak by an avenue of sphinxes. Visit Karnak which covers a huge area including several temples, the largest being the Temple of Amun. Overnight in Luxor with an optional Karnak Sound and Light show priced at £22.00 per person.DAY 7
Check out of your cabin. You will be transferred to Luxor airport for your 1 hour flight to Cairo for your stay. Explore the treasures of Cairo and visit the Great Pyramids of Giza.DAY 8
Optional, Depart morning to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt and then to Saqqara, where the Step Pyramid built by King Djoser, the first Pharaoh to have his tomb built in monumental dimensions. His enormous Step Pyramid stands as a symbol of strength andpowerful state, with the divine king at its centre. After lunch, the tour continues to Giza, where the famous Pyramids stand as monuments to the Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt and the Great Sphinx, which has kept its secrets for centuries.DAY 9
Optional, Depart after breakfast to The Egyptian Museum, containing fabulous treasures from Egypt’s ancient past including the magnificent Tutankhamun collection. After lunch, the tour continues to the Citadel, a fortress built in 1183 AD, which houses a number of important monuments, including The Mosque of Mohamed Ali and Al-Gawahara Palace. The day finishes with a visit to the Khan el Khalil Bazaar. Transfer to the Airport for your short flight to the Red Sea / Luxor for a 5 night stay at the hotel of your choice.DAY 10
Red Sea or Luxor
Enjoy the fascinating sights of Luxor or enjoy the beautiful coastline of the Red Sea Riviera. Following your stay on the Red Sea / Luxor you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight home. Road transfer from Luxor to the Red Sea takes approx 4 hours.DAY 11 -15
